  • What paperwork should I bring to my consultation with a lawyer?

Before our first appointment, we need to know who you owe and how much you think you owe. If you have a mortgage, we need to know how much it is. If you would like to schedule a consultation with one of the most skilled bankruptcy attorneys, please contact John Zingarelli, Attorney at Law.

  • Who will be working on my case?

John Zingarelli will complete the bankruptcy papers for you. He does not give you a stack of forms to fill out. Additionally, our office personnel will help with the bankruptcy process.

  • Is bankruptcy a viable option for a student loan discharge?

Student loans have been difficult to discharge for many years. There are recent developments that make discharge more available. These matters must be considered on an individual basis.

  • What options do I have besides declaring bankruptcy?

You have several options that include bankruptcy. I will discuss those and other solutions that do not involve bankruptcy.

  • Will filing for bankruptcy impact my credit?

Although it will remain on your credit report for ten years, there are actions we can talk about to help you rebuild your credit during that period. Buying a house and a car within those ten years is still feasible. Many people report that their credit score rises when they file a case, because their debts are reduced.

  • Will I have to pay for the consultation?

There is no fee for the initial consultation. It is important for you to understand your rights without additional stress.

  • Am I eligible to file for Chapter 7?

There are eligibility requirements, but you should not assume that you do not qualify just because you have a higher-than-average income. Many factors go into the determination, and these must be addressed individually.
